Description The first -Project DIVA- game to be released on iOS, and the first -Project DIVA- game to be released worldwide.

Also the first MikuFlick game.

MikuFlick is a game created by SEGA and Crypton Future Media. The game is a spin off of the -Project DIVA- rhythm game series and was released in Japan on March 9, 2012 and internationally on April 12, 2012. The game was created for the iOS operating system on the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. It is the first game in the -Project DIVA- series to be released outside of Japan.

It is also the first game in the series to not feature any Vocaloids but Hatsune Miku (although in the first -Project DIVA- game, there were songs featuring Kagamine Rin and Kagamine Len and DLC songs featuring Megurine Luka, they are not playable characters in MikuFlick). The sequel, MikuFlick/02, is now available.

Gameplay

The gameplay is considerably different from the -Project DIVA- games and focuses on the lyrics rather than the beat. It uses a control scheme suited for touchscreen devices. The game has 10 tiles, arranged in a 3x3 grid with the middle column having a 4th tile at the bottom. The lyrics for each song are given above the tiles and flow from right to left with a circle on the left. When the indicated lyric reaches the circle, the player must tap the lyric tile and flick it in the indicated direction.

There are three modes to choose from: the original Japanese game format where all tiles and lyrics are in Hiragana, the "Roman Support", in which the lyrics are shown as both Hiragana and Romaji, and lastly "Full Roman".

There are also four difficulty modes; "Easy", "Normal", "Hard", and "Break the Limit". In "Break the Limit", there is no difficulty level, nor is there a way to lose in the middle of the song, and all the lyrics in the song are flickable.

Scoring

The scores you can get for notes are "COOL", "FINE", "SAFE", "SAD" and "WORST". "COOL" is the best you can get and points are added to your score. "FINE" is right behind and also adds to your score. "SAFE" is when you flick wrong but on the right spot and doesn't add or take away any points. "SAD" is when you flick wrong on the wrong spot. It takes away points from the score. "WORST" is when you miss a note, points are taken away from the score.
